Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (STRO14063) affecting Surlingham Road from 141 metres south of its junction with Easthill Lane for 725 metres north-eastwards in the Parishes of Surlingham and Bramerton to facilitate new fibre network installation works for BDUK, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be from 26th January to 6th February 2026, but may continue to be closed/restricted until the 20th March 2026 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.
NB: Access to be given to Easthill Lane/ Mill Hill from The Street up to the points of closure.
Alternative route is via: Surlingham Road, Bramerton Road, Walnut Hill , School Lane, Mill Road, Surlingham Lane, The Street, Rookery Hill, Bramerton Lane, Rockland Road (Surlingham, Rockland St. Mary, Bramerton).
The works promoter for this restriction/closure is: CityFibre Metro Networks.
Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Road where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.
The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 20th March 2026 without further notice.
In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.
